Welcome to Wrenbury and District Tennis Club

Dear Tennis Enthusiast,

On behalf of Wrenbury Tennis Club we welcome you to our website and trust that this site provides you with information that allows you to enjoy your tennis to the fullest extent, whether you are a playing for fitness, recreational or higher level.

I would first like to reveiw what is available on this site and hope that the majority of the "tabs" are self explanatory and that navigation and information is easy to find.

If there is any error or improvement that you think we should know about then please use the "contact" tab so we can correct or implement.

Should you wish to join the club or want to meet members for a discussion then please also use the "contact" tab and we will get back to you. Please also note that Club night is on Thursday and we welcome you to come down and participate for the evening and a chance fo you to see what we are all about...it's not just the Tennis...it's the social side that makes this club fun.

Please use this site to review important dates in our calendar for competitions, club nights and other activities. This is on the "activities" tab and will be updated regularly.

Other important information are contacts, addresses, rules and also an overview of our AGM of 2010 which should give you all a sense of the inclusive and open nature of our club and what was achieved in 2009/10 and what we are intending to achieve in 20010/11.

In brief, for 2009/10, we have;

1.We invested in new court surfaces and other clubs that have visited have highly recognised our courts as being one of the best in surfaces around.

2. Both our winter league teams were promoted, Team A will play in Div 2 and Team "B" will play in Div 4. Congratulations wo all of the players who suppoed our clubs promotion this year and good luck for 2010/11.

3. Had a fantastic and successful MIxed Doubles Fun day on a glorious day in May 2009. (See photo gallery and GM 2010)

These are just a few of the activities in 2009/10 that will propel us into the 2010/11season. Our aim is to open up our club to anyone and everyone who wants to play Tennis from beginner to experienced competitors. There are no exclusions and all are welcome from young to old. Our youngest regular Club night member is 16 and our most mature player is 60+ (they are not being specific!). There is a commitment from the committee to open the doors for the youth in our district. That is why a Family Subscription, £110/yr, gives so much value and why Junior Membership (U12) is only £12.50/yr.

We hope you will take a moment to look at the rest of this website to get a better feeling of what we can offer in terms of Tennis and the social aspect to our club.
