Welcome to Wrenbury and District Tennis Club

Wrenbury Tennis Club is a Friendly, Sociable, Private Member's Club, open to all members of the community.

We have two fantastic surfaced hard courts, and also use of the adjacent astro-turf court.

Our club night is on Thursday evenings 7:30 – 10:00.
All are welcome from young to old, whatever ability.
Club night consists of mixed doubles play, on a first-to-4-games basis, creating a rapid change of players.

Our club has 2 teams competing in the South Cheshire inter-club winter league.
We have a singles ladder, and a court booking facility, all maintained on this web site.
The courts are also used for private, family and coaching uses.

If you are thinking about joining, you are welcome to join us on a free to try basis on club nights.
There are always some friendly people on the committee about to welcome you.
If you would like to talk to somebody, please use the "contact" tab
or e-mail Paul Moore, Club Chairman (paul@wrenburytennisclub.co.uk)

We are always looking for new members, so we hope to see you soon..

Wrenbury has policies for "inclusion and diversity" and "safeguarding" to support and cover all of our current and future members.
These documents can be downloaded from the Policies tab.

ALERT : COVID-19 Instructions

During these unprecedented times the LTA has agreed that games can go ahead but under strict rules:

  • Maximum of two people per court (singles play only). Players can be from different households.
  • The only exception to the above is where a group of four players are all from the same household in which case they can play doubles.
  • Stay at least two metres away from other players at all times (including during play, when taking breaks and before and after play).
  • Do not make physical contact with other players (such as shaking hands or high five).
  • Stay on your side of court and avoid changing ends, or agree to change ends at opposite sides of the net.
  • Avoid chasing the ball down to another court if other players are using it.
  • Use your own clearly marked tennis balls.
  • Avoid using your hands to pick up tennis balls that aren’t yours - use your racquet/foot to hit/kick them to your opponent or return them to another court.
  • Avoid using other equipment such as courtside benches, net handles or court sweepers where possible
  • As soon as restrictions change we will advise on this site, but until then please adhere to these rules for your protection and others.
    • Please adhere to these instructions to protect yourself and others.
This information will be updated when LTA produce new guidelines.
